Hydration For Work

Aqualyte was originally developed as a hydration solution for underground miners in 1998, and has stood the test of time in some of the harshest conditions on the planet.

Sweating is the primary way in which the body loses heat and regulates core body temperature. If the fluid lost is not replaced, workers become dehydrated reducing the body’s ability to lose heat through sweat, compromising their health, productivity and safety.

An average  worker can lose between 400-600ml of fluid per hour which equates to 4-6 litres over a 10 hour shift, more over a 12 hours one. This fluid needs to be replaced which is where Aqualyte comes in.

Drinking just water is not enough and in some circumstances can be dangerous as it disrupts the intra and extra cellular electrolyte balance.

Alternating between drinking water and Aqualyte will encourage workers to drink more fluid helping them stay hydrated, it replaces key electrolytes and provides some glucose to help offset fatigue which is a major cause of workplace mistakes and accidents.

Whether you are in the mining or construction industry, a tradie or just working around the house. Aqualyte has a proven track record in providing effective hydration support for those who need it, when they need it.
